主癥

牙痛甚劇，兼有口臭口渴，便秘，舌苔黃，脈洪數等。

Main Manifestations

Dull pain comes and goes, loose teeth, absence of foul breath, red tongue, thin tongue body, thready and rapid pulse.

治法

取手足陽明經穴為主。針用瀉法，以清熱瀉火止痛。風火牙痛加手少陽經穴，針刺用瀉法，以怯風瀉火；腎虛牙痛加足少陰經穴，針刺用平補平瀉法，以滋陰降火。

Treatment

The Points of Large Intestine and Stomach Meridians are selected. Reducing manipulation is applied to eliminate heat and stop pain. For toothache due to wind fire, Points of Triple Energizer Meridian are added. The reducing manipulation is applied to dispel wind and clear off heat, for toothache caused by deficiency of kidney, the points of Kidney Meridian are added. For toothache caused by with fire: Yifeng (TE 17), Yemen (TE 2),
for toothache due to deficiency of kidney:Taixi (KI 3).
