命題解析
繼05年辭職+道歉信、06年請求信和07年大綱樣題訂購信之后，07年應用文考查的仍然是公務信函之一：建議信。筆者編著的《2007考研英語高分寫作》第87頁有關于圖書館服務的公務信函，第95頁第五部分為“建議信”，考生應該感覺比較好寫。
建議信在國內(nèi)的四級考試中曾經(jīng)考查過兩次，分別是2001年6月建議朋友度假及2004年1月建議朋友選專業(yè)。
考研寫作命題每年均尋求創(chuàng)新，2007年也沒例外。往年小作文題目皆由情景交代+三點提綱組成，情景交代可以改寫放在第一段，三點提綱改寫放在第二段。但2007年沒有情景交代，只有一點籠統(tǒng)提綱：建議大學圖書館改進服務�？忌杂砂l(fā)揮的余地更大，不會造成太大的障礙。只要不跑題，可以隨意發(fā)揮，只要是改進圖書館服務的建議均可。
根據(jù)教育部公布的《大綱解析》，考研應用文不需寫信封、日期、地址，只寫稱呼、正文、落款三種格式即可。由于是公務信函，稱呼可寫“Dear Sir or Madam，”或“To Whom It May Concern，”均可，根據(jù)《大綱解析》，注意后面最好使用英式英語中的逗號，不要使用美式英語中的冒號。
書寫格式最好使用縮進式，正文段間不空行，首行縮進4-5個字母并對齊。大部分考生首段可以進行自我介紹；說明寫作目的：建議改進服務。第二段需針對圖書館的服務問題提出二至三點具體建議，不要只是空發(fā)議論。由于是針對機構的建議信，尾段可以表示感謝、期待回信。
落款應寫在稿紙中間偏后的位置，寫成兩行。首行是結(jié)尾客套：“Yours sincerely，”即可；次行簽名應寫“Li Ming”，不要寫上自己的真實姓名。
注意事項
建議信不是投訴信，觀點應該合情合理，注意禮貌當先。首段介紹自己不要羅嗦，說明目的并注意語氣；主體段提出具體建議，最好首先肯定優(yōu)點，再寫改進內(nèi)容，否則容易變成投訴信。經(jīng)常與對方進行交流，注意對方感受，時時提到你和我，否則變成議論文。尾段總結(jié)建議，注意禮貌，易于接受。
有些考生可能投訴內(nèi)容寫的較多，也不要過于憂慮。閱卷老師重點考查的還是語言水平，只要語言基本正確，應該可以拿到基本的及格分數(shù)。

I am a student in this university who regularly come to the library to spend my spare time. Generally speaking, the services you offer here is quite good; however, I have some suggestions for you to adopt. And I would like to extend my greatest appreciation if you are so kind as to take my suggestions into consideration.
To begin with, will you please prolong the time for reading? In the daytime, most of the students are having class, so they can’t come to the library. Moreover, some of the books on shelves are out of date. If you are so kind as to provide us some books such as the latest magazines, we will be greatly honored.
I really wish to have a more comfortable library. Thank you for your time and consideration.
