The Imaging Science Journal provides a forum for the latest developments in imaging science, scientific aspects of imaging systems and applications of imaging science. It publishes research papers by leading scientists and researchers. The content of The Imaging Science Journal embraces conventional chemical, electronic, digital and hybrid imaging systems and processes. Examples of areas which come within the scope of imaging science include: image formation, capture, reconstruction, recording, processing, display, hard copy output, analysis, evaluation and human vision applied to the evaluation and optimization of captured images. Digital imaging is a key growth area, and the Journal aims to maintain coverage of traditional areas of photographic science while attracting submissions and readers in the new technologies. Main subject areas include: Fundamentals of silver halide processes and other image sensors; image quality measurement and perception; colour reproduction, appearance and measurement; applications in medical, forensic and scientific imaging; life expectancy of image media; environmental issues.
